SKYLINE BACKPACK
This backpack was one of my first original, independent bag designs at Tenba. Designed for budget-conscious photography enthusiasts seeking everyday adventure, it was created to expand the existing Tenba Skyline collection, which had previously included only shoulder bags.
The backpack incorporates features tailored for photographers, including secure rear access to camera gear, a separate compartment for personal items, and a rear trolley strap. I was also able to use high-quality materials and hardware, including water-repellent 600D fabric, YKK zippers, and reinforced stitching for long-term durability. The backpack is available in two colorways.
This project marked a key milestone in my soft goods career, as it was the first time I designed and led a project from concept to completion. I am pleased with the final design, which is still available at retailers such as B&H Photo and Amazon.ys.

FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHY ENTHUSIAST ON A BUDGET
INSPIRATION
My inspiration came from basic, classic, every day backpack silhouettes. I was especially drawn to Jansport’s traditional, iconic look.
SELECTED CONCEPT
Following market research, I had a clear concept in my head that I wanted to move forward with. It was a timeless shape with two separate compartments for camera gear and personal items.

Refining the first sample and adding branding details to solidify its place in the Skyline Collection.
SECOND SAMPLE
The second sample was built using the proper Skyline Collection materials and hardware. I thoroughly tested the interior camera section to ensure various mirrorless camera kit arrangements fit properly. This sample was approved, becoming the final production-ready version.
